About OBTW
When he was 16, Tony started his gem cutting experience in Hong Kong. Interested in the opal business, he left home in 1975 at the young age of 19, and ventured to the town of Coober Pedy in Southern Australia. It was love at first sight with Coober Pedy- The Opal Capital of the World, and Tony decided to settle down, making a living by buying and selling rough opals for the next 20 years.
As business grew and prospered, Tony eventually set up a company named "Opals by Tony Wong" in 1994, specializing in the supply of cut stones such as Crystal Opal Solids, Doublets and Triplets. Tony also travels the world to attend gem fairs and jewelry exhibitions.
Due to Tony's passion in fulfilling the needs of every single customer, OBTW has become one of the biggest opal businesses in the world.
